5 Easy Ways to Pamper Guests at Your Beach Wedding
I think it is fair to say that whenever we host a social event we want our guests to feel welcomed and comfortable. And I think that is especially true at a wedding and perhaps even more so at a beach wedding; because for a beach wedding, it can sometimes be a challenge to make guests comfortable. For example, it can be uncomfortably warm and the sun can be unbearably bright. And guests have to take their shoes off to easily walk in the sand, which can leave their feet caked with sand! And what do they do with their shoes!
So, if you want to keep your guests comfortable at your beach wedding, here are 5 easy ways to pamper them. All of these ideas are relatively easy to accomplish and will be greatly appreciated by your guests.
5 Easy Ways to Pamper Guests at Your Beach Wedding:
- Fan to keep cool
- Umbrella for some shade
- A place to check/store shoes
- Flip Flops for walking in the sand
- Brush to remove sand from feet
Having colorful fans for your guests is really a necessity for a hot, outdoor venue. And it can serve double duty by adding a splash of your wedding color to the décor! If your wedding ceremony is outside, you may want to place the fans on each chair. Or if only the reception is outdoors add a fan to each place setting to add color and to ensure that some of your guests don’t miss out on getting one.
When wedding guests see that you have provided pretty umbrellas to shade them from the sun, they will jump for joy! The umbrellas can be dressed up with ribbons to match your wedding color and placed in a decorative basket for guests to grab. Ahhh, sweet relief!
If guests are going to be walking in the sand, they likely will want to take off their shoes. Providing a place for them to put their shoes, so they can easily find them after the festivities, is a much appreciated gesture. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy … just a place that is set aside for shoes, a sign and ideally some bins, shelves or tables.
You can go one step further after providing a “Shoe Check” by offering guests flip flops to wear in the sand. Include various sizes and colors (for men and for women) and put them in bins or baskets as seen in the photos below.
And when they are ready to go home and leave the beach behind, guests certainly don’t want to take sand with them! Provide a brush so they can remove sand from their feet. A painter’s brush is ideal for this. Be sure and add colorful ribbon and a cute container, as shown below.
